Supreme League of Georgian Championship has started at Tbilisi Chess Palace. U-20 and U-12 chess players will participate in the tournament.

The tournament will be based on Swiss system. Winner of U-20 Championship will compete in World Championship in Turkey. The first and the second-placed participants of U-12 Championship will compete in World and European Championships.

World U-12 Championship will be held in the city of the United Arab Emirates, Al Ain. European U-12 Championship will take place in the city of Montenegro, Budva, on September 28.

Meri Arabidze is leading U-12 girls’ ranking. Zurab Javakhadze is leading boys’ ranking.
