According to the Ukrainian internet portal football.ua, Jaba Kankava, captain of the Georgian national team, is MVP of “Dnipro” Dnipropetrovsk in the current season.

“When Juande Ramos came to “Dnipro”, he was not impressed with Jaba Kankava and the Georgian went to “Kryvbas” with other players. Most of them stayed in “Kryvbas”. Only three of them returned to “Dnipro”: Maksim Pashaev, Anton Kanibolotskiy and Kankava.

Kankava returned because of the situation. Last summer Boateng did not play well and Florescu did not want to go back to “Dnipro”. So, Kankava returned to “Dnipro”.

Jaba used his chance. He often played in lineup and proved he was the best in the team. Besides this, he became a captain of the Georgian national team and the best player at the Ukrainian Championship.
