Georgian chess players finished with a triumph "Mayor's Cup" which was underway in the city of India, Mumbay. Levan Pantsulaia (2563) and Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2645) gained 8.5-8.5 points like UzbekFarukh Amanatov (2616) but according to the additional points they shared the first and the second places.
In the11th round, Pantsulaia played draw with Amanatov., Mchedlishvili played draw with Armenian Zaven Andriasyan (2608) with balck pieces. Another Georgian participant of the tournament Merab Gagunashvili (2592) lost with Indian Laxman (*2429) and took the 30th place with 6.5 points.
The prize money of the tournament was 28 000 USD, Pantsualia gained 7000 USD and Mchedlishvili 3500 USD.
