Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg), Georgian judoka, won the second meeting in the current World Championship, which underway in Brazil and went through the ¼ final.

After defeating French Ludovic Gobert by Ippon, Liparteliani tackled to German Marc Odenthal and in a minute and a half defeated him with a beautiful throw.

In the ¼ final his opponent will be Swedish Joakim Dvarby.
