Giorgi Edisherashvili (55kg), member of Georgian freestyle wrestling team, won the first fight at European Championship which is underway at Tbilisi Sports Palace. Giorgi is through to ¼ final. The Georgian lost the first period to Azerbaijani Yasar Aliyev – 1:2. Edisherashvili won the second period and gained 2 points in the decisive period.

In ¼ final Giorgi Edisherashvili will wrestle against El Quarraque of France.
