Tata Steel Masters has started in the city of Holland, Wijk aan Zee. Levon Aronian of Armenia (2812) is leading the tournament. Others, including Baadur Jobava of Georgia (2710), are playing at Tata Steel Challengers.
Four rounds have already been held at the tournament and the Georgians has the best result. Jobava beat Etienne Goudriaan (Holland, 2431) and played draw with Jan-Krzysztof Duda (Poland, 2553) with black pieces. He won over Xue Zhao (China, 2567) and Merijn van Delft (2430) with the whites.
The Georgian grandmaster has 3.5 points and is a leader. Ivan Saric (Croatia, 2637) and Anna Muzychuk (2566) are 0.5 point behind Baadur.
January 15 is a day off. On January 16 Jobava will play Radek Wojtaszek (2711).
13 rounds will be held at Tata Steel Challengers and will end up on January 26.
