The first morning of one of the most prestigious international tournaments, the World Masters, held in Tyumen (Russia), for Georgian Judo competitors started so bad, worse than ever. All four members of the Georgian team lost their first round matches, and have the chance to continue the fight for the bronze medal to choose only one – he in the weight category up to 60 kg Amiran Papinashvili. He began performing at the tournament right from the quarter-final and this opened the way to the repechage. And Shalva Kardava (66 kg), Zebeda Rekhviashvili and Tatalashvili (both-73 kg) began and ended in the 1/8 finals.

Honor Georgia will protect Avtandil Chrikishvili, Levan Tsiklauri (81 kg), Varlam Liparteliani, Zviad Gogochuri (both-90 kg), Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg) and women's national team member Irina Leonidze (+78 kg).
