Avtandil Chrikishvili, member of the Georgian judo team, will finish 2013 as a leader in 81 kg. International Judo Federation released world ranking-list and current European champion and world finalist Georgian sportsman is ahead of the opponents.
Tokyo Grand Slam points were added to the ranking. The Georgian team competed in the tournament with young sportsmen. Head coach Irakli Uznadze took only Chrikishvili and Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg) from the experienced judokas. Both of them won bronze medals and earned 200 points.
Avtandil Chrikishvili is 400 points ahead of Loic Pietri of France. The Georgian is 694 points ahead of third place Victor Penalber of Brazil. Levan Tsiklauri is also in Top 10. He has not wrestled due to injury for several months.
Varlam Liparteliani is in the second place in 90 kg. He is 68 points behind leader Asley Gonzalez of Cuba. Current European champion Amiran Papinashvili is in the second place in 60 kg. He has 1896 points. Naohisa Takato of Japan is leading the weight category with 3030 points.
Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg. the third place) and Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66 kg. the sixth place) are in Top 10 of their weight categories. Zebeda Rekhviashvili is in the 12th place in 73 kg. The toughest situation is in 100 kg where Levan Zhorzholiani is in the 35th place.
