Today champions and prize winners will be found out in four weight classes at Paris “Grand Slam”. Members of Georgian team will wrestle in final of two weight classes. Avtandil Chrikishvili (81kg) and Varlam Liparteliani (90kg) will fight for the championship.
Chrikishvili beat Aleksej Nefedov of Serbia, Joachim Bottieau of Belgium, Victor Penalber of Brazil and Keita Nagashima of Japan and will wrestle against Yakhyo Imamov of Uzbekistan.
Liparteliani will wrestle against Asley Gonzalez of Cuba. He beat Viktor Semenov of Russia, Shahin Gahramanov of Azerbaijan, Ludovic Gobert of France and Dilshod Choriev of Uzbekistan.
Today Davit Loriashvili, Lasha Guruli (both – 100kg), Adam Okruashvili and Giorgi Zakariadze (both +100kg) wrestled on French tatami. Only Loriashvili overcame the preliminary stage and took the 7th place. Others lost the first round.
The finals will start at 19:00 Tbilisi time and GMG TV channel will broadcast live.
