The Georgian Final of The Greco-Roman Days

The youth national team of Georgia in Greco-Roman wrestling won 5 medals at the European championship on passing in the capital of Macedonia of Skopje. Iraklia Shavadze (50 kg) won a bronze medal and Lasha Gobadze (74 kg) and Kukuriya Kirtskhalia (96 kg) won a bronze medal today Iacob Kadjaia added a gold (120 kg) and Robert Kobliashvili won a bronze medal (84 kg).

Kajaia reached the ending without having lost a point. He won against Slovak David Checha one round (7:0). In a quarterfinal he overcame the Romanian Tiberiu Alexander Barbazan (4:0 0:0). Easily it passed and Giorgi Chugashvili (7:0) playing for Belarus, and in decisive fight against the same account won against Lithuanian Mantas Knistautas, only this time all 7 points took in the second period.

Kobliashvili won against Turk Goktash Dogan (3:0 2:0) the first circle, and in the second conceded to German Maksimilian Kudla (0:4 0:1). The road to bronze for it opened after the German reached the final. In a semi-final he wrestled against Swede Berg Zacarias the Georgian fighter gained all 7 points in the first period. And in decisive fight he overcame Russian Ilia Gudiev (1:0 3:0).

Ednar Shavadze (55 kg) lost in the first circle to Belarusian Igor Belyaka (2:0 0:2). Firuz Tsulukidze (66 kg) began performance on tournament with an easy victory over Austrian Stefan Shteiglem (8:0), but in a quarterfinal could do nothing against Azerbaijani Rukhin Mikakhilova (0:3 3:4).

Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow medals will be played among girls. And on Saturday-Sunday to a carpet there are already young wrestlers.
