Avto Ebralidze: "I hope, One Day, I will be Called to the National Team"

Avtandil Ebralidze, attacking midfielder of “Gil Vicente”, on October 3 turned 22. Internet edition Maisfutebol.iol.pt dedicated quite a large article to him.

“This is a story about a boy, who immigrated to Portugal with his parents and plays in Premier League. September was full of emotions for Avtandil Ebralidze. In particular, two weeks after moving to “Gil Vicente” from “Oliveirense”, he had a debut with “Porto” on the stadium “Dragao”.

Avtandil Ebralidze was born in the capital of Georgia (Tbilisi), 22 years ago. He came to Portugal at the age of 16 with his parents.

“My father came in Lagos (Portugal) to work. Then I came with my mother and began to play in the youth team of “Esperanza de Lagos”, - told Ebralidze to Maisfutebol.iol.pt

Then he joined the youth team of “Getafe” (Spain).

I was playing in the youth team of “Getafe”, and after returning to Portugal, I joined the first team of “Esperanza de Lagos”, - said Avto.

His career began raising and from “Esperanza” he got in “Evora” Lagos. From this team he joined “Oliveirense”, where he remained until joining “Gil Vicente”.

“I always dreamt about playing in the Premier League. I knew, that I had to work and to have a faith till the end”, - said Avtandil Ebralidze.

He had a debut with “Porto” at the stadium “Dragao”, which is unforgettable for the football player.

“This was incredible. As if I was dreaming. The game was good and my dream also came true. I was under the strong impressions”, - remembered Avto.

“My goal is to play as much as I can and help “Gil Vicente” with goal assists and goals to keep its place in the Premier League. I do not expect that I will always play, but I hope that I will have a chance to show myself better”, - stated 22-year-old attacker.

Ebralidze hopes, that will come the day, when the Georgian national team calls him;

“I want to play for the national team of Georgia. If here I held a lot of matches I will be patient, perhaps I will have a chance. I am calm and I hope that one day they will call me.”

On Sunday, “Gil Vicente” plays against “Pacos de Ferreira”. The parents of Avto should go to Barcelos from Lagos to attend his match. It should be noted, that Antonio Fiuza, president of “Gil Vicente”, paid their trip”.
