Arveladze: “Turkey Is the Sixth League in Europe”

Foreign coaches of the Turkish clubs gathered in Belek and gave a seminar. They talked about the current situation in Turkish football and controversial issues in Super League. Four coaches gave the seminar: Roberto Mancini (“Galatasaray”), Roberto Carlos (“Sivasspor”), Slaven Bilic (“Besiktas”), and Shota Arveladze (“Kasimpasa”).

The Turkish media mentions that Shota talked with humor:

“I am the “oldest” here because I played in Turkey 20 years ago. There is a big difference between the former and the current championships. It was developing and is developing now. In my opinion, Turkey is the sixth league in Europe, after Spain, England, Italy, Germany and France”.

Arveladze stated his favorite is Hakan Sukur of Turkey. Shota and Sukur were the football players of the same generation – the Georgian scored in “Trabzonspor” and the Turk – in “Galatasaray”.

As for the unforgettable match, Shota did not name it and said: “I hope such match is ahead”.
