Aleksandre Chivadze, head coach of Georgian U 21 team, hold the press conference at the technical center “Basa” and spoke about the upcoming qualifying matches. As far as you know, the youth team will host the Netherlands on October 10 and on October 14 – Scotland. Both of the meetings will be held at “Mikheil Meskhi”.
Chivadze: -You know, that we have the most important matches. We expect also two meetings in November: on 14th against Scotland and on 18th against Slovakia. The final change, which appeared in the team is that we replaced Irakli Kobalia (“Zestafoni”) by Giorgi Kvilitaia (“Dila”). Kobalia was not feeling good, he had a temperature and besides, he missed the last match due to his disqualification. As for the case of Giorgi Iluridze, he played the day before in “Hajduk” and was substituted at the 61th minute and we will contact him, if he has no problems, we will summon.
- So far, of course, that you focus on the match against Netherlands. You have a good staff, many players are playing successfully abroad. Do you have any outlines, what will you do against the Dutch?
- First of all, I will say that many players have problems with a playing practice. For example, Giorgi Papava in “Dinamo”, Davit Skhirtladze in “Aarhus”, Lasha Parunashvili in “Sioni”. But the case of Parunashvili is different: he missed one match due to his disqualification, and the 2nd match, because he was on loan from "Dinamo" and did not have a right to play against "Dinamo". Tornike Okriashvili also missed the last round, he had a disqualification. Others players are also without a practice. We need to play and I have a preliminary outline and we will smarten it on trainings.
- Will the draw satisfy you against Netherlands?
- When playing at home, a satisfactory result can be only victory. Let's see, what would be the game plan and progress.
Ananidze and Okriashvili will be with Netherlands and then they will move to the national team. Instead of them, you will call others or you will leave the same composition?
- We will summon. We have a list and I'll tell you later.
- Have you had a conversation with Temur Ketsbaia about to leave Ananidze and Okriashvili for the match against Scotland? U 21 awaits more important game.
- We have a verbal agreement, that Ananidze and Okriashvili will go with the national team to Spain, but let’s see...
- When will you have the full staff on “Basa”?
- This evening all of them will be in place.
As far as you know, the team of Chivadze has already held two matches in the European Championship qualifying group III and both of them out: they won over Luxemburg 3:0, and lost 0:1 against Slovakia.
