Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team ended the Championship with four medals. Yesterday Leri Abuladze (46kg) added a silver medal to the gold medals of Joni Khetsuriani (50kg) and Zviad Pataridze (100kg) and a bronze of Nikoloz Chikaidze (63kg).
Abuladze won over Indian Ravin Ravin 8:0, Iranian Naserpur Puia and Moldovan Mikhail Petic – 9;0. In the decisive match, he lost 1:2.
Yesterday, the world champions and prizewinners were revealed in another 4 categories: 42, 69, 76 and 85. The Georgian team had representatives in all four weights. But… Irakli Dzimistarashvili (42kg), Demur Kavtaradze (69kg), Guram Khetsuriani (76kg) and Davit Gogidze (85kg) ended their participation in the morning program.
Irakli Dzimistarashvili lost to Russian Atmir Kotsev (2:9) in the first circle. The Russian reached the final and the bronze way opened for the Georgian, but he lost to Hungarian Ishtvan Vanza (0:8).
Demur Kavtaradze lost to Turkish Murat Ozqan (1:10), Guram Khetsuriani could not beat Kazakh Ieldos Magzumov (0:8) and Davit Gogidze lost to Kirgiz Kalidin Asikeev (4:10).
Kavtaradze and Khetsuriani wrestled only once. Gogidze overcame Egyptian Ahmed Asan Ali before losing to Asikeev.
Today and tomorrow girls will reveal champions and prizewinners. In the last two days of the competition – on July 19-20, Georgian freestyle youth team will wrestle.
