Basilashvili Moving toward Djokovic!

Georgian top seed Nikoloz Basilashvili made through to 1/8 final of the Doha international tournament (Qatar, 1 221 320) and established another record of his career.

Basilashvili earned 32 points by overcoming the qualifying draw of Qatar Exxonmobil Open 2015 and is in the 157th place in so-called live ranking. It is his historical ranking.

In the first round 22-year-old Basilashvili beat Mikhail Youzhny of Russia (world No.47) 7:5, 6:2 and it is his fourth match in Doha which he won without losing a single set.

The match lasted an hour and 17 minutes. The Georgian tennis player served 2 aces, did not make a double fault and used 5 from 9 break points. Nikoloz lost his serve twice and beat the opponent in rallies – 67:51.

The next rival of Nikoloz is No.7 seed Ivo Karlovic of Croatia who defeated Lukas Rolos of Czech Republic 7:6 (7:4), 6:3.

In case of beating Karlovic, Basilashvili will earn 25 ranking points and probably will face world No.1 Novak Djokovic.
