Manuchar Kvirkvelia received 59 votes at the presidential elections of the Georgian Wrestling Federation. His opponent Valeri Gelashvili received 43 votes. European, World and Olympic champion Manuchar Kvirkvelia will head the Georgian Wrestling Federation.

Valeri Gelashvili: “I congratulate Manuchar on victory. I am staying in sport because I am a member of Sport and Youth Committee in the Parliament”.

Ramaz Nozadze (World and European champion, Olympic prize winner): “Everybody voted for Manuchar. Believe me, everything will be alright. I am promising everybody that we will have very good team and federation”.

Irakli Dolaberidze (head of Sports Department): “The elections were held democratically. Manuchar Kvirkvelia won 59:43. The government will do everything to help wrestling”.
