In the 17th round of the Spanish Championship “Zaragoza” of Giorgi Shermadini and Viktor Sanikidze defeated “Murcia” 103:67. The Georgian basketball players earned 36 points and 15 rebounds.

The Georgian center played 23:02 minutes and received 5 personal fouls. Giorgi scored 6 from 8 2 points and 5 from 6 free throws. He added 9 rebounds and 1 assist to 17 points. Shermadini had 2 turnovers and 5 fouls were committed against him.
It is worth mentioning that the Aragons won all quarters. They beat “Murcia” 38:11 in the third quarter. The 27-point advantage has happened only once in the history of ACB. In 2010-11 “Granada” won over “Juventut” 35:6 in the second quarter.
Thanks to this success, “Zaragoza” gained the 9th victory and is in the 8th place. If the club keeps this position, it will play at the Cup on February 6-9. The best 8 clubs of the first circle will participate in this tournament.
