Otar Kiteishvili, player of the Georgia national team, made a short comment after defeating Portugal.

“The history we have written goes on and there is no end. There is no better feeling than this. We are the happiest. I can imagine the joy in Georgia and we are proud that we were able to do all this. Unfortunately, I could not play in the first two matches but now I feel good. I am glad that I was able to participate in such an important match.

Of course, playing at the European Championship was the dream of every Georgian football player. I could have missed the third match too but everybody did their best for me, many thanks to the medical staff.

All the players who played did their job very well and that is what makes this team strong”, - said Kiteishvili.

Georgia will face Spain in 1/8 final of the EURO 2024 on June 30 in Koln.
