Today the second European Games hosted by Minsk, Belarus, has finished. This tournament turned out to be very successful for Georgia.
The Georgian delegation represented by 61 athletes earned 30 medals.
Four years ago Georgia participated in the first European Games with 104 athletes and won only 16 medals.
Sambo wrestlers’ competition was the most successful. They gained 11 medals (4 gold)! Judokas earned 7 medals (2 gold).

Judo – 7 medals (2 gold, 1 silver, 4 bronze)
Freestyle wrestling – 4 medals (2 silver, 2 bronze)
Greco-Roman wrestling – 3 medals (2 silver, 1 bronze)
Boxing – 2 medals (1 silver, 1 bronze)
Trampoline – 1 medal (silver)
Shooting – 1 medal (bronze)
Karate – 1 medal (bronze)
