Italian Empoli is in crisis. The team is only 3 points away from the relegation zone.

On Saturday Empoli will play Fiorentina Florence. Fabrizio Corsi, chairman of Empoli, talked before the match and mentioned the Georgian:

“We might not be in such tough situation if Levan Mchedlidze was not injured – he is our best football play”, - noted Corsi.

Mchedlidze got injured at the beginning of February and came back last weekend. Levan held only 13 matches and scored 5 goals in the current season.

Empoli has not won since January 22.
