Georgia lost to Austria 1:2 in the first round of Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone which is under way in Tallinn.

Ekaterine Gorgodze defeated Julia Grabher 7:5, 6:3 and our team advanced 1:0. However, Georgian top seed Sofia Shapatava failed to Barbara Haas 4:6, 1:6.

Doubles match was decisive and unfortunately, Kalashnikova and Shapatava fell to Grabher and Haas 3:6, 5:7.

Today our team will face Poland which won over Austria 2:1.
