Georgian freestyle wrestling team gained the highest title at the “European Nations Cup”. At the prestigious tournament in Bucharest (Romania), the team of Revaz Mindorashvili defeated the teams of Ukraine (5:3) and Romania (8:0). In the decisive meeting, they overcame Russia – 6:2.

According to the Georgian Wrestling Federation Facebook page:

57 kg - Otar Gogava won over Rasul Meshezov 4:1.

61 kg - Beka Lomtadze lost to Akhmed Chakaev 4:6.

65 kg - Zurab Iakobishvili defeated Russia’s Murad Nukhkadiev 10:0.

70 kg - Davit Tlashadze won over Ildus Giniatulin.

74 kg - Zurab Erbotsonashvili won over Husein Sunchev 10:4.

86 kg - Sandro Aminashvili lost to Shamil Abdurakhmanov.

97 kg - Elizbar Odikadze won over Evgeni Kolomiec 6:0.

125 kg - Geno Petriashvili defeated Bekkhan Dukaev of Chechnya.

Tomorrow, Greco-Romans will participate in the tournament. Besides Georgia, the teams of Russia, Romania, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Turkey will take part in it.
