Georgian national team’s midfielder Jaba Kankava stayed in “Reims”. In the summer transfer period, the French club was ready to let him go and was waiting for the offer, but they did not receive a satisfactory proposal.
“Reims” President Jean-Pierre Caillot stated to the official website of the club that Kankava remains in the team and will continue fighting:
“The club did not receive a satisfactory offer in exchange for a player, Jaba stays in the team, he is professional and will do everything to succeed”.
The player has a health problem and so far is in process of treatment. There was talk that negotiations with “Malaga” were undergoing but this option has failed. As a result, Kankava will play the current season in League 2. The Georgian midfielder moved to “Reims” last year and played 32 matches in the first season.
