“You are afraid of being a champion” – the Georgian journalists could not hear any other summary of Elizbar Odikadze’s wrestling, except these words of team doctor Zurab Kakhabrishvili. Like many other defeated Georgian athletes, neither Odikadze wanted to make a comment.
“Even if he wins bronze medal, tell him that I will not take interview from him” – Davit Bananashvili, commentator of 1TV, told Kakhabrishvili which made coach Archil Kitiashvili angry.
We told the member of the coaching staff that like his wrestler and him, we are also doing our job at the Olympics and we came to Rio to take interviews from winner and defeated as well:
- It is our job and people want to know it.
- What do people want to know? What can I say?
In the second semifinal London Olympic Games finalist, European and World Championships prize winner Valerii Andriitsev of Ukraine failed to Khetag Gazyumov of Azerbaijan 0:10.
While the Georgians were having conflict, Andriitsev was answering questions of the Ukrainian journalists.
