Davit Kevkhishvili: "I Am Disappointed but We Must not Hang down Our Heads"

The Georgian judo team finished Rio Olympics with one silver and one bronze medal. Today Adam Okruashvili wrestled on tatami and lost the first round to Hisayoshi Harasawa of Japan by shido. It is difficult to find someone who is satisfied with the final result of the Georgian judokas. Davit Kevkhishvili, president of the Georgian Judo Federation, was in the same mood.

Davit Kevkhishvili: Of course, we expected gold at this Olympics and I am disappointed. Our team could have done it.

- What was the problem?

- We will sit down and analyze and then we will talk about details. Now I can only say that we must not hang down our heads.

- What can you say about Adam Okruashvili’s wrestling?

- Adam lost weight for the Olympics but he faced the toughest opponent in the first round.
