Nikoloz Basilashvili: "I Am Very Proud and Happy"
Paolo Lorenzi of Italy will be the Opponent of Basilashvili in Final

As we already reported, Nikoloz Basilashvili became the first Georgian tennis player who made through to the tournament final, organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

The 24-year-old Basilashvili defeated 4 opponents at Generali Open, Austria (Kitzbuhel, 520 070 EU). Basilashvili more convincingly played the semifinal, when he defeated 26-year-old Dusan Lajovic of Serbia in 64 minutes – 6:3, 6:1.

“I am very proud and happy. I did my best to achieve it. The match was very important. I think I played well”, - said Basilashvili at the press conference after the match.

In final, Basilashvili will face Paolo Lorenzi of Italy.

The final match of Kitzbuhel tournament will take place today, July 23, at 15:00 Tbilisi time. The winner of Generali Open will receive 250 ranking points and 82 450 EUR.
