Pachulia signed 1-year and 29 million contract with the club, after which the Georgian center was presented to journalist. He initially was asked about the new team:

“I was filled with a white envy when I heard that Kevin Durant goes there. But soon I have learned about my moving to “Golden State”. It was my great 24 hours. My agent called me and said that the team was interested and introduced me the conditions. I talked to coach steve Kerr and he told me that I was the first candidate of the team. It is very good feeling when someone wants you and especially the team like “Golden State”.

Everyone is wondering why Pachulia chose 2.9 million contract, when he received 5.2 million per season during the last 3 years.

“I made a decision and I am proud. I am satisfied and I am not going to look back”.

US media wondered why the famous singer Wyclef Jean supported Pachulia during All-Star poll.

“Everyone thinks that we are friends, or have good relations. When I heard him singing I unexpectedly cried. It was very impressive,” – said Pachulia.

The Americans remember many struggles of Pachulia, when it went beyond the playing situation. The Georgian made the following comment about it:

“Generally, I am against fight. But when you try to help your team, sometimes there are moments, when you have to be too aggressive”.
