The triumphal victory of the Georgian team at the European Championship. This time, Greco-Roman wrestling team won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals at U-23 European Championship in Ruse (Bulgaria) on March 29-30.
Gela Bolkvadze (75), Lasha Gobadze (80) and Iakob Kajaia (130) became the champions of Europe. Tornike Jangavadze (66) and Kukuri Kirtskhalia (98) won silver medals and Ramaz Zoidze (71) gained bronze.
The Georgian team occupied the first place with 63 points and moved ahead of Hungary (43) and Azerbaijan (38).
Zaza Jibladze was the main coach of the team, head coaches – Vazha Bodzashvili and Otar Tatishvili, doctor – Levan Linnik and referee – Malkhaz Jorbenadze.
