Romanians Can Not Oppose the "Lelos"
Georgia is the Champion of Rugby Europe 2016

The Georgian national rugby team convincingly defeated Romania’s team 38:9 in the final round of Rugby European Championship 2016 and together with champion’s title won Anthim the Iberian Cup, which is traditionally played between these teams.

The “Lelos” had the full advantage in the match, which took place in Tbilisi, “Dinamo Arena”. The Georgians opened the score at the 3rd minute by Anton Peikrishvili’s try. In the first round, the Georgians scored 3 tries (twice Peikrishvili, once Sandro Todua) against their opponent. Merab Kvirikashvili used two conversions.

Milton Haig’s apprentices continued their impressive work after a break. At the start of the second half, Giorgi Pruidze scored a try and Kvirikashvili made an exact conversion. The fifth try of the “Lelos” was scored by Pruidze too, Khmaladze’s conversion failed.

Today’s match proved the progress of “Lelos” once again and the fact that the Georgian team has no rivals among the second level rugby countries.
