VTB Bank and the Georgian Football Federation signed a 2-year agreement and VTB Bank became a general sponsor of the Georgian national team – the bank will transfer million GEL during 2 years, though, there will be a bonus system: amount of money will be determined by the points earned during the 2016-2017 World Cup Qualification.

The president of the GFF and VTB Bank general director Archil Kontselidze signed the agreement. This bank is an active supporter of sport. Besides football team, the bank sponsors water polo team, Gymnastics Federation, Equestrian Federation and various sports teams.

Levan Kobiashvili: “I want to thank our new sponsor. I am glad that VTB Bank has officially become a sponsor of the national team. I believe our collaboration will be successful for the team and VTB Bank as well”.

We asked Kobiashvili about future coach of the national team and he stated negotiations are underway and the new head coach will be a foreigner. Of course, he did not name the new coach but rumor has it the coach will be German. However, according to Kobiashvili, this information is not true.
