There is a new scandal in Georgian wrestling. The internal conflict has nothing to do with it. The case is about using doping by the members and candidates of Georgian Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams. According to preliminary information, the banned drug was found in the body of 6 athletes. Their identities are already known for Anti-Doping Agency, but the names have not yet been named.

The talk about possible doping scandal started about a month ago in the backstage of Georgian wrestling. Finalists and bronze medal winners of the Georgian Championship were examined and the samples were sent to the Austrian laboratory. About a month was necessary for the official conclusion, but one of the titled wrestlers instantly recognized himself guilty and in order to save himself from hostile disqualification asked for help.
