Unsuccessful Qingdao Grand Prix

None of the Georgian judokas managed to overcome morning program at Qingdao Grand Prix. Irakli Uznadze took four judokas to China.

Vazha Margvelashvili (66 kg) took the 7th place and earned 48 ranking points. Tornike Tatarashvili lost 1/8 final in this weight category.

Aleksandre Mskhaladze and Guram Tushishvili (both 100 kg) could not overcome 1/8 final. Before that they won the first round. Mskhaladze beat Frederik Joergensen of Denmark and lost to Artem Bloshenko of Ukraine. Tushishvili defeated Jun Zhang of China and failed to Elmar Gasimov of Azerbaijan.

373 judokas from 59 countries wrestled on the Chinese tatami. Japan won 5 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. Georgia took the 29th place with New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.
