The United World Wrestling Federation (UWW) published a new rating of freestyle wrestlers. This list is done according to the results of July’s tournaments.
Following tournaments hit the rating: Pan American Games in Toronto, Ali Aliyev tournament in Kaspiysk, Stepan Sarkisyan tournament in Yerevan and Vaclav Zylowski tournament in Warsaw.
Twenty wrestlers represent each weight category. Eleven Georgians hit the rating. Geno Petriashvili occupies the highest position among them – third place.
Vladimer Khinchegashvili (57), winner of Stepan Sarkisyan tournament, is in the 8th place. Silver medalist of European Games Beka Lomtadze (61) is in the 4th place and Davit Tlashadze (70) – 14th.
Bronze medalist of European Games Jumber Kvelashvili (74) occupies the 10th position and the second prizewinner of Ali Aliyev tournament in the same weight category Iakob Makarashvili takes the 15th place.
Sandro Aminashvili (86), bronze medalist of European Games, hit the world rating for the first time. He is in the 11th place.
Elizbar Odikadze (97), silver medalist of European Games, is the 4th. In the same weight, Omar Gusoshvili, champion of Europe’s U-23, occupies the 14th position.
Three Georgians hit the rating in heavy weight. Besides Petriashvili, Davit Modzmanashvili (8th) and Giorgi Sakandelidze (20th) hit the list.
The next World Ranking will take place in September and the results of World Championship in Las Vegas will be reflected in it.
