Georgian Football Federation's President: "Unfortunately Biletebi.ge was not Technically Prepared"

Georgian Football Federation’s president Domenti Sichinava made an explanation about the problem arose in connection with the sales of Super Cup tickets. On June 22, from 9:00 am, website biletebi.ge started selling the tickets, but the site overloaded and stopped selling it.

Domenti Sichinava: “I want to say, that biletebi.ge is a company UEFA chose. On Sunday, I met with the company’s technical director, who is responsible for all the shortcomings. Biletebi.ge gave us assurance the problem would not have arisen. Its representative said they passed the test and could sell 2500 tickets in a minute. Unfortunately, on Monday morning, we were informed that 10 000 buyer signed on website at 9:05 and the problem has occurred”.

-Today, will the tickets be sold or not?

-According to contract, biletebi.ge is obliged to sell tickets. This company gave us guarantee, but unfortunately was not technically prepared.

-Biletebi.ge says there was a hacker attack.

-As far as I know, there was a hacker attack, which is why incoming signal from abroad was blocked. As they say, they do everything to improve the situation.

-Will the sanctions be imposed?

-It’s up to UEFA. They have agreement with UEFA.

-Do the representatives of biletebi.ge are in touch with GFF?

-They are in touch with us an UEFA as well. Besides, we are agreed that once in a hour they should make an information about selling tickets.
