Kakha Chumburidze, general director of football club “Saburtalo”, told “World Sport” Tariel Khechikashvili would be the minister of Sport and Youth Affairs who would bring problems of the Georgian sport to the government.

- Was it a right decision that Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili named Tariel Khechikashvili, president of football club “Saburtalo” and “Iberia Business Group”, a candidate of minister of Sport and Youth Affairs?

- Of course, it was. We have grown up together. Tariel grew up orphan with his twin brother. He achieved everything by hard work.

His experience in business and human relations will benefit the Georgian sport. I think he will manage to unite the Georgian sport. He should adopt a law on sport. It is very important for survival of football.

I think the decision of the Prime Minister is perfect.

- Do you think future minister of Sport and Youth Affairs will bring all the problems of the Georgian sport to the government?

- Of course, he will. This person will be useful for the country and sport. He is a very hardworking person and he can convince the government to make changes in the legislation.

- Will Khichekashvili be an important loss for “Saburtalo”?

- Tariel was involved in activities of the club and we were making very important decisions. He is not the person who picks out only one club. He will act as the country needs it.
