Manuchar Kvirkvelia, president of the Wrestling Federation, held a press conference at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs. Levan Kipiani, minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, also attended the press conference. Manuchar Kvirkvelia summarized participation of the Georgian sportsmen in European U-23 Championship.

The Georgian wrestlers won 3 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals at the championship which took place in Walbrzych, Poland.

Manuchar Kvirkvelia (president of the Wrestling Federation): “First of all, I want to congratulate the boys. I want to thank coaches and sportsmen who did their best. In 2016 Georgia will host World Cadet Championship”.

Shalva Bedineishvili (coach of the freestyle wrestling team): “I want to thank the boys, federation, ministry. The athletes did everything to achieve success. We are dedicating this victory to the whole country”.

Levan Kipiani (minister of Sport and Youth Affairs): “I want to congratulate the boys on this great victory. The federation and the coaches worked hard and it had an outcome. Also, I want to congratulate our young rugby players on making through to final of European Championship”.
