Basilashvili Beyond the Main Draw of Rotterdam Tournament

Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili could not make through to the main draw of Rotterdam tournament (Netherlands, 1 600 855 EU).

In the first round, Basilashvili lost to French Nicola Mahus 4:6, 4:6.

For instance, Basilashvili occupies the 164th position with 310 points in the renewed ATP ranking. Besides him, Aleksandre Metreveli (547th), Giorgi Tsivadze (870), Giorgi Javakhishvili (1220), Aleksandre Bakshi (1427) and Irakli Metreveli (1722) hit the ranking as well.

Tamar Chalaganidze is still in Al Kantaoui (Tunisia), but could not make through to the main draw. In the first round, she overcame Czech Nicola Noimanova 6:0, 6:1, however, could not beat Dutch Erica Vogelsang – 1:6, 1:6.

Ekaterine Gorgodze is #1 seed in the Antalya tournament. Her first opponent will be Italian Giorgia Pinto. As for Sopo Kvatsabaia, she will face Japanese Chihiro Takayama.

Only Gorgodze will play in the doubles competition. She and Russian Viktoria Kan will face Austrian-Bulgarian duet (Shuper-Vangelova).
