“Zestafoni” won the “case of Daushvili” in FIFA. Official website of “Zestafoni” reports about this.
“As you know, Murtaz Daushvili is a pupil of “Zestafoni” and he spent 6 years in this club. In summer of 2011, when the club was focused on preparations for the UEFA Champions League matches, a preliminary contract was signed between “Karpaty” and Murtaz Daushvili. As you are aware, Ukrainians circulated this information and materials confirming the fact of the execution of the contract, however then, after involving Georgian in this case, they tried to immediately remove these material from the internet.
“Zestafoni”, regarding the fact that Daushvili was not turned 23 at the time of his moving to another club, according to FIFA regulations, required compensation for upbringing and training the player, which in this case amounted 60 000 Euros per year held in our club. In total it amounted 360 000 Euros.
In early 2012, the Georgian Football Federation was asked international transfer certificate on Daushvili, but this letter was in the name of “Lviv” not “Karpaty”. There was written that Daushvili signed the contract with this club. Soon “Lviv” made the player play on loan in “Kapraty”, declared itself bankrupt and the Georgian side’s claim for compensation in Lviv was forgotten.
“Zestafoni” applied to the relevant authorities of FIFA about this case. After a long study and consideration of the case, FIFA disputes resolution chamber made the verdict a few days ago and ordered “Karpaty” to pay “Zestafoni” 295 000 Euros for the compensation of upbringing and training football player” – it is said in the press service’s statement of “Zestafoni”.
