Georgian national water polo team achieved important success. The Georgian sportsmen won all three matches of the Istanbul tournament and won the main prize. The Georgian team defeated Romania 10:9, won over Turkey 9:8 and beat Slovakia 10:6. It is worth mentioning that our team has not won such tournament since gaining independence. As the Georgian water polo players told us they are dedicating this victory to Georgian soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan.
