The 1/4 final of European Boxing Championhip was very successfull for Georgian sportsmen. Six Georgian boxers reached this stage of the tournament which is underway in the capital of Belarus, Minsk and all of them lost.

Dato Nanava (49kg) lost with Azerbaijani Salman Alizada, Levan Guledani (91kg) with Ukrainian Denis Poiatsika, Giorgi Gogatishvili (56kg) with Russian Vladimir Nikitin, Mikheil Bakhtadze (+91) with English Joseph Verafer. Later, Avtandil Chubabria (52kg) lot with Russian Ovik Ohaniyan and Zaall Kvachatadze (69kg) lot with German Araik Marutyan.

So, Georgian national team could not manage to win any medals at European championship.
