The Georgian national rugby union team gained 0,495 points by beating Portugal (34:9) and has approached Canada which is in the 15th place.
After beating Portugal, Milton Haig, head coach of the Georgian national team, stated the following:
“We are returning from Lisbon very happy. We all know we could have played better. When we use our possibilities completely, we can score as many tries as we want. But some bad assists made us lose a chance of bonus point. Portugal played well in defense. They made good tackles and made us make mistakes. We have never won with such score in Portugal and it indicates to our positive side”.
