Two Georgians in Tallinn

 

Paul Keres Memorial International tournament continues in Tallinn (Estonia), in which two Georgians: Akaki Shalamberidze (2372) and Varlam Vepkhvishvili (2185) are participating.

After 6 rounds Shalamberidze has 4.5 points and is in the 7th place and Vepkhvishvili is in the 34th place with 3.0 points.

Russians – Artyom Smirnov (2418) and Alexander Danin (2602) are leading the tournament with 5.0 – 5.0 points.

In the 7th round Shalamberidze faces Vasil Yemelin (Russia, 2558) with white pieces and Vepkhvishvili plays against Henrik Haavamae (Estonia, 2017).

The winner of the tournament will get 2 000 Euros.
