A few days ago five legionaries left “Choromorets” Odessa, however Tornike Okriashvili remains in this team. Okriashvili, who was one of the best in the match of Georgia-Liechtenstein (2:0), hopes that the situation will become stable in Ukraine.
Here is the interview of Tornike with Football.ua:
- “As for the match against Liechtenstein, we got positive result. Young players appeared and the team is preparing for the qualifying. That’s why, I hope everything will be fine and we will take at least the 3rd place”.
- Five foreign players left “Chornomorets” and you also overstayed in Georgia. Many fans thought that the team would lose the sixth legionary.
- To tell the truth, making decision about my future was very difficult. My wife, parents and relatives were against the fact that I was going back to Odessa. However, I feel that I should be with the team, regardless of the other factors. As for the problems in Ukraine, I hope for a peaceful solution and hopefully the good time will come.
- So, you go back to “Chornomorets” and are going to work in accordance with the contract…
- Yes.
- What does in Georgia say about the situation in Ukraine?
- There are talks everywhere that there is a war in Ukraine. That’s why, it was difficult to convince my parents that it would be right to come and be with the team in Odessa. Finally, I came to the conclusion that I want to continue playing for “Chornomorets”.
- Is your family with you in Odessa?
- Not yet. I came to Georgia together with my wife and son for the match. When there will be a normal situation in Ukraine they will arrive in Odessa.
