All Georgian sportsmen finished participation in World Boxing Championship which is hosted by the city of Kazakhstan, Almaty.

On 19 October Jaba Khositashvili (75 kg) and Mikheil Bakhtidze (+91 kg) lost their fights. Khositashvili lost to Hosam Abdin of Egypt and Bakhtidze – to Yan Sudzilouski of Belarus.

On 20 October Zaal Kvachatadze (69 kg) lost to Fred Evans of Wales.
