Short program was held at European Figure Skating Championship which is under way in the capital of Hungary, Budapest. Elene Gedevanishvili of Georgia is in the 7th place.
The Georgian sportswoman who turned 24 years old on January 7 was in the first place after six competitors.
Gedevanishvili earned 54.78 points (280.4 in technical elements, 26.74 in program components).
The short program was held with the triumph of the Russian sportswomen.
17-year-old Adelina Sotnikova won the first part with 70.73 points. 15-year-old Julia Lipnitskaia (69.97) is in the second place and Alena Leonova (64.09) took the fourth place. Carolina Kostner of Italy (68.97) took the third place.
37 girls participated in the short program. 24 of them made through to the free program. The final tournament will be held on January 17. Gedevanishvili will be the 14th at the tournament.
