Georgian national basketball team made through to the final stage of European Championship for the third time. It was found out after when we overcame Portugal 71:59 today and the Hungarians won over Czechs 83:68. Thus, with the exception of Portugal’s matches, Georgia and Czech earned 2-2 wins and losses and the balance of partnership points involved. Georgia is the only one of this trio, who has positive balance +11, Czechs have -4 and Hungary -7. The Georgian national team took the first place and next year will play at the Continental Championship!
The host country of Euro 2015 will be found out on September 8.
…Beka Burjanadze, Sanikidze and Zaza Pachulia added 2 points to the same Sanikidze’s 3 point and we promoted 9:0. The Georgians, who played without traumatized Tornike Shengelia were more motivated. At the start of the 4th quarter Sanikidze scored twice in a row and promoted the team 56:45 and it became clear that the Georgian team was very close to victory. Consequently, we won 71:59 and as it turned out later, we occupied the first place in the team.
Viktor Sanikidze is the most effective in the Georgian team with 20 points. Zaza Pachulia played perfectly (especially in the second half). He gained 15 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. It should be also noted that the captain of the team has 3 steals and a block-shot in his active.
Overall, all the nine players are worthy of praise, but we will add Duda Sanadze to above mentioned players. He scored 3 3 points and finally amassed 14 points.
As for Portugal, this team plays straightened basketball and if its players do not spoil 10 free throws, our audience and players would worry more about the meeting.
