International open tournament is being held in parallel with World Youth Championship in Al Ain (United Arab Emirates), in which 2 Georgian chess players: leader of Georgian team Baadur Jobava (2705) and international master Khvicha Supatashvili (2455) are participating.
After 4 rounds Jobava is leading with maximum number of points. He beat Egyptian Barakat Saied Jasan (2341), Amireza Pouramezanal of Iran (2456), Ukrainian Eduard Andreev (2508) and Armenian Robert Hovanisyan (2597).
As for Supatashvili, he ended 3 parties with draw, won one meeting and earned 2.5 points and is in the 44th place with additional showing.
In the 5th round, Jobava will play against Egyptian Amin Basem (2654) with black pieces and Supatashvili will face Abobker Elarby of Liban (2295).
