Jaba Bregvadze, hooker of Georgian national rugby team and “Armia” Tbilisi has signed short-term contract with “Toulouse”.
On Monday 24-year-old sportsman arrived in France, had medical chess, deserved like of authority of the club while the training and has signed the contract till the end of the season.
At the end of the previous year “Toulouse” faced to problems on hookers’ position. South African Gary Botha broke his leg and leader club of the tournament invited Akvsenti Giorgadze as “medical joker. In the second match Giorgadze injured and French club again faced to problems. This time Bregvadze was invited in the club with status of “medical joker”. Probably Georgian champion will have debut in Top 14 on Saturday against “Racing Metro”. Jaba’s height is 5 ft 11 in, weight – 90 kg. He had debut match in national team at Nations Cup at IRB against South African national team in 2008. Since that time he held 17 matches for national team and gained one try. At 2011 World Cup, he participated in al four matches (three times he was in the starter squad).
