World champion Billy Joe Saunders challenged Khurtsidze. Promoter Frank Warren stated Saunders will likely defend his world title against Khurtsidze on July 8 in London.

“I will show you who Khurtsidze is when I fight him. If I cannot beat him, I might as well forget about the big fights”, - Saunders told BT Sport.

Billy Joe Saunders is competing without a loss. The Englishman has held 24 meetings and won 12 by knockouts.
