Canoeist Zaza Nadiradze Is in Final of C-1 200 m

Canoeist Zaza Nadiradze participated in men’s C-1 200 m. He took the 4th place in semifinal and made through to final.

25 sportsmen competed in the mentioned discipline. They were divided into four groups. Five-five best and one sixth-place of the group went through to semifinal.

The 22-year-old Zaza Nadiradze covered the distance in 41.423 seconds, took the 4th place and made through to semifinal.

Nadiradze was in the toughest group with the Olympic and world champions and took the first (!) place. Zaza covered 200 m in 40.146 seconds.

After all three semifinals the Georgian athlete took the 4th place and was only behind the Brazilian, Spaniard and Chinese opponents. The final will be held on August 18, at 16:16 Tbilisi time. Eight best sportsmen will participate in it.

These sportsmen are: Zaza Nadiradze (Georgia), Li Qiang (China), Alfonso Benavidez Lopez de Ayala (Spain), Thomas Simart (France), Isaquias Queiroz Dos Santos (Brazil), Andrei Kraitor (Russia), Valentin Demyanenko (Azerbaijan) and Martin Fuksa (Czech Republic).
